Do you offer a trial period to make sure this fits our needs?
No trial period is offered. However, we recommend you start off with our standard formulations service and start with 1 formulation at the standard rate of $4000.
Why do you require a contractual commitment?
Our labs have a finite amount of space and our chemists can only manage so many projects at once. Because of these limitations, we require each of our partners to make a monthly commitment to ensure we can properly allocate and use our labs' personnel and resources.
What is included in the contract? What are the deliverables?
For each project, you will receive a quantitative formulation, blending procedure, and an ingredient list with detailed supplier information.
Do you send formula samples?
Yes. For all custom development projects, after a kickoff call and upon receipt of your deposit, product development will begin and you will receive the first sample for approval within 3-4 weeks. You will receive up to three rounds of samples and two revisions for free.
For any of our stable, shelf-ready formulas, you can request a sample from your customer dashboard. We charge a small fee to cover shipping and ingredient costs.
What if we do not meet the commitment of 4 products per month?
That is okay; however, your additional project credits do not roll over and you will still be responsible for the monthly retainer.
Is stability testing included?
Stability testing data is included for free with in any of our catalog products.
For custom formulation projects, stability testing can be provided at an additional cost. The price and lead times vary based on product type and product claims.
What types of cosmetic testing do you offer?
We offer Challenge Testing (preservative efficacy testing), Microbiology Testing, Stability Testing, RIPT Testing, Compatibility Testing, and Claim Substantiation/ Efficacy Testing.
Testing is performed at an accredited laboratory using testing methods accepted by the EU authorities in accordance with EU cosmetics regulation 1223/2009.
